Become a Skyhawk for a Day at the UT Martin Test Flight Preview Day

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a UT Martin Skyhawk? Well, on Monday, February 19, 2024 (President’s Day), prospective students are invited to visit the campus to attend the Test Flight Academic Preview Day and “take a deep dive into life as a Skyhawk” and experience what it is like to be a Skyhawk.

At the Test Flight Academic Preview Day, high school students will have the opportunity to visit the academic departments of their major of interest, learn more about the program, meet the professors and some students in the program, and attend a college class. Students will also get to tour the campus and learn about the resources available to UT Martin students.

Some quick facts about UT Martin are the following:

  • With a student body of about 6,900, students attending UT Martin come from more than 42 states and 19 countries.
  • Along with its Martin campus, students may take classes at any on of its five regional centers located in Jackson, Parsons, Ripley, Selmer and Somerville.
  • UT Martin offers more than 150 academic areas of study; nine degrees, and 21 specialized concentrations.
  • Approximately 72 percent of full-time faculty hold the highest degree in their field. 
  • Approximately 84 percent of UT Martin graduates are employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation

Schedule

  • 8 a.m. Registration and Departmental Fair
  • 8:45 a.m. Welcome to UT Martin
  • 9:30 a.m. Campus Tour
  • 11 a.m. Academic Department Tours
  • 11:30 a.m. Skyhawk Snacks

The Test Flight Academic Preview Day will be held in the Boling Auditorium Center – Watkins Auditorium (11 Wayne Fisher Dr, Martin, TN 38237) You may register for the preview day.
