Donate Your Solar Eclipse Glasses to be Used Around the World

Hopefully, you had the opportunity to safely view some percentage of the solar eclipse in your part of Tennessee. Now that the next total solar eclipse will be in 2033 (if you feel like traveling to Alaska), you have three choices of what to do with the eclipse glasses you have . . .you can throw them away, save them for the next eclipse, or . . . pass them on in participation with the Eclipse Glasses USA Donation Program for them to be used by people in other countries with upcoming eclipse events.

Eclipse Glasses USA, LLC is accepting undamaged US-made paperboard eclipse glasses that have the manufacturer’s address and contact info and that bear the ISO logo. If you have glasses that fit that description and you no longer need them, they want your glasses!

“Lenses must be in good condition, without perforations, tears, or punctures that would allow radiation to penetrate through to the user’s eyes.” ~ Eclipse Glasses USA, LLC

Your donation is simple, but one that will have a huge impact in the lives of the people who use them and enhance the education of children who only have the opportunity to read about an eclipse, but never being able to safely view one. Eclipse Glasses USA hopes to use your donation to promote safe viewing practices of an eclipse and foster a love for astronomy and science among young people.

You can mail your glasses to Eclipse Glasses USA, LLC, P.O. Box 50571, Provo, Utah 84605
