Adventure Science Center Adds More Homeschool Once A Month Days to Its Schedule
Homeschoolers asked and the Adventure Science Center (ASC) listened. Now, the ASC is offering its Homeschool Once A Month (HOAM) program on Mondays and Fridays with trial-runs beginning in April 2024.
“One of the things that has been frequently requested is having HOAM classes on days other than Thursdays,” said Jason Moeller, Learning Specialist II and Teacher at Sea Alumni
Adventure Science Center. “I’m excited to announce that we will be trial-running a few K-2nd and 3rd-5th grade classes this spring on Mondays and Fridays.”
The per-class cost is the same as the current ASC’s current classes with a fee of $25 for members and $30 for non-members. All classes will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Learning Lab, and check-in and check-out being held in the Jack Wood Hall.
The April and May dates include the following program schedule:
APRIL 2024
Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Dinosaur Lab (K – 2nd) {register now}
Monday, April 15, 2024 – 2 p.m.: Alien Lights (K – 2nd) {register now}
Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Dissection Lab #1 (6th – 8th) {register now}
Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Mixed ages Chemistry Lab {register now}
Friday, April 26, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Alien Lights (3rd-5th) {register now}
MAY 2024
Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Dissection Lab #2 (3rd-5th) {register now}
Friday, May 3, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Sprawling Species (3rd -5th) {register now}
Monday, May 6, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Sprawling Species (K-2nd) {register now}
Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Dissection Lab #2 (6th-8th) {register now}
Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2 p.m.: Mixed ages Dissection Lab #1 {register now}
With the addition of more HOAM program days, the ASC is hoping to make the program more convenient for homeschool families to attend. Classes do fill fast, so register soon.
